Dr. Diana Holcomb
Dr. Diana Holcomb has an extensive background in eye care. She spent three years as a Naval Officer at the Submarine Naval Hospital in Connecticut and worked closely with an ophthalmologist in providing comprehensive care to the submariners, their families, and retired military servicemen. She fit submarine officers with fine tuned contact lenses for their periscopes and provided on-call emergency room consultations.

Dr. Holcomb has been an adjunct professor at the New England College of Optometry, the Illinois College of Optometry, and the Naval Undersea Medical Institute.

Dr. Holcomb holds a Doctor of Optometry degree and a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science from the Southern California College of Optometry.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society, the Grass Valley/Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, Soroptimist International of Grass Valley, and the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.

Dr. Tanya Markis-Meyer
Dr. Tanya Markis-Meyer holds a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Biological Sciences from Sacramento State University and her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. She has been a key member of a Sacramento private practice for ten years prior to residing in Nevada County. She is the Associate Optometry Director at one of the largest vision insurance companies in the nation as well where she assists in the development of quality care guidelines for optometrists and their patients. Dr. Markis-Meyer is also licensed in the treatment and management of ocular disease, including glaucoma. Some of you may have met her before when she was an associate of Dr. Brian McPartland from 1997-2000 here in Grass Valley.

She is also a member of the American Optometric Association, the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society, the Grass Valley/Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, the California Optometric Association, and the Soroptimist International of the Sierra Foothills.

Both Doctors are certified co-managing optometrists with the Pacific Laser Eye Center in Sacramento and are examiners for the National Board of Optometry Examination.

Dr. Holcomb and Markis-Meyer continue to expand their knowledge by taking continuing education courses, to ensure you that we can provide the newest treatments and services to safeguard your vision.

Adrienne—Billing Manager  Adrienne has been with the office for over 10 years. She was trained by the former owner of Grass Valley Eye Care, Dr. Brian McPartland. Adrienne has a background in sales and banking. She and her husband Bob have been residents of Grass Valley for over 20 years. Adrienne can assist you with your frame decision and answer any questions about your eye insurance.   Keri and Oliver—Opticians  Keri has been with us since 2006 and recently obtained Optician Board Certification. Oliver has 12 years experience in the optical field. He holds the ABO and NCLE certifications as well as the State of California Optician's license. They are both specialists in lens design and can answer all of your questions about new lens technologies like progressive/no-line multifocals or Transitions lenses, and assist you in making that all important frame decision. Dawn—Office Manager Dawn Ryley is a newer addition to our team and the office manager. She brings with her years of experience in accounting, finance, marketing, patient relations and management. She is also available for assisting you with repairs, dispensing contact lenses or glasses, frame selecting and processing orders as well as overseeing the daily operations of our company.   Dottie—Optical Lab  Dottie has been in the optical field with over 30 years experience. She is 'behind the scenes' in our in-house laboratory to cut and edge your lenses to your frames and repair and adjust your eyewear. She will provide you with professional quality optical work that she stands behind 100% to assist you in seeing your world clearly. Amber and Nadya—Preliminary Exam Technician Amber has been with us since 2005 and Nadya since 2008. Both are highly experienced in performing preliminary testing for your eye exam. They can also assist you in choosing evewear that fits your needs, provide repairs or adjustments on your glasses and may also dispense your glasses or contacts when they are ready.
